George Walker Ltd began trading in 1814 as a haulage business
and timber merchant. A sawmill was established
in the centre of Syston in 1915, moving to its present location on
Fosse Way in 1977. The Company currently operates across two sites in
Leicestershire. The timber yard in Syston was joined by a new sawmill on
the Belvoir Estate in 2014.
